**What we’re looking for**

The Air Import Coordinator is primarily responsible for understanding Airline routing, warehousing, trucking rate negotiation and dispatching freight.

The Air Import Coordinator is responsible for processing and coordinating import shipments while maintaining excellent customer service. The role would require a high level of accuracy when using our freight forwarding software to guarantee high productivity and operational excellence.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates all aspects of air import shipments including; preparing documentation, data entry, tracing, billing, arranging deliveries, etc.
- Tracks and traces all international and domestic cargo movement to meet tight deadlines.
- Coordinates and report cargo status to customers.
- Communicates daily with airlines, vendors, truckers, customers, sales representatives and overseas offices.
- Assists sales representatives with their warehouse and trucking requests.
- Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage time well and be self-motivated.
- Provide import estimates and information regarding importing into the United States (via air, ocean and truck).
- Provide customer service to internal departments and overseas affiliates/clients.
- Maintain import data and verify information accuracy.
- Classify all entries, resolve import problems and monitor carnet imports for incoming exhibitions.
- Coordinate all deliveries and security arrangements from the airport to facility.
- Handle all post-entry amendments and internal audits of all imports that have been imported.
- Assist the import manager with projects as requested

**Work Schedule**

GDL Office: 8:00 am-5:00 pm CST

- Previous experience in similar positions is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills and detail oriented.
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, organize and prioritize work load in order to meet numerous
- deadlines.
- Positive attitude, team player and outgoing personality.
- Willingness to learn and give the extra mile for the company.
