**Job Title**: Cybersecurity Intern

This individual will work on client projects and assist in building processes to support Echelon Risk + Cyber's continued growth. Our work spans a variety of industries, sizes, and compositions, including engagements like maturity assessments, incident response planning, and general advisory consulting.

Our next team member will be ready to roll up their sleeves, identify opportunities, and demonstrate unquestioned integrity. This team member will be passionate about cybersecurity and eager to use their knowledge to be an Entrepreneurial Problem Solver, working alongside their Echelon team members to build creative solutions.

**What You Will Do**:

- Assist in planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of Technology Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity engagements.
- Evaluate and test security and technology controls, including assisting in client interviews, developing and executing test plans, generating and coordinating evidence requests, and reviewing documentation.
- Document results, create client reports, and communicate results to client management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to identify information security risks and provide actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrate consistency, versatility, and adaptability while managing multiple tasks and delivering quality results in a timely manner.
- Assist in developing engagement strategies, defining objectives, and providing recommendations to address client risks.
- Handle and evaluate data and information responsibly.
- Create and deliver client-facing presentations, reports, and analytics.
- Assist leadership in the creation of proposals, budgets, work plans, and other business development efforts.
- Establish exceptional internal and client relationships using strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and related laws and regulations within cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve new or complex cybersecurity risks and project challenges.
- Demonstrate thought leadership through the creation of content for the organization's website blog and involvement in the cybersecurity community.

**Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strong interest in Risk advisory and a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience crafting professional messages. (Only resumes in english will be considered)
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt in a demanding and changing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Authorized to work in México.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with information security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, CMMC, ISO, etc.).
- Experience or coursework related to risk management, assessments, audits, and incident response.
- Interest in obtaining industry standard certifications.
