Position Overview: Playing both at front
- and back-office in the Sales Phase, the Commercial Sales Manager is a critical role within Siemens Gamesa organization, being responsible for the negotiation towards the customer of complex turbine supply agreements (TSA), as well as for the management of the contract signature approval processes, with high exposure to the C-level, executive committee and board of directors.
How to contribute to our vision
- Lead the commercial negotiations on the wind turbine supply agreements, observing the Siemens Gamesa baseline terms and conditions and the law as applicable.
- Set the price and payment terms with an eye to the competitiveness of our offer as well as to Siemens Gamesa’s financial goals.
- Request and prepare the internal approval documentation for the approvals of binding offers and contract signatures.
- Coordinate the activities of Legal, Taxes, Insurance, Export Control & Customs, Compliance, Treasury, Technical Support among others during the sales phase.
- Organize and lead the Risk & Opportunities workshop to assess risks and define actions to increase control, confidence, and profitability on the commercial activity.
- Defend the project in Committees with the C-level: detail the terms agreed with client and present the key project financials, with the objective to get the mandate to either send a binding offer or sign a new TSA.
- Organize and lead the Independent Contract Review, confirming that the minutes of the contract are aligned with the mandate received from top management.
- Responsible for the signature of the contract and contract activation, providing evidence that all conditions have been fulfilled and the project can be booked.
- Hand-over to Programs for the project to enter the Execution Phase.
- Other responsibilities include the signature of non-disclosure agreements with clients, the assessment on client´s credit worthiness - requesting ratings from Finance team when applicable - and less frequently, to manage sales process, governance, and due diligence related projects.
What you need to make a difference
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Interest in developing knowledge in the financial area
- Solid technical knowledge of contract management specially in complex industry contracts
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work successfully with a team daily in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to provide legal support on numerous simultaneous projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Experience in working within multi-cultural and multi-national team
- Bilingual or trilingual (English, Spanish, Portuguese) mandatory
