The Business Unit Head of Finance is responsible for planning and directing all accounting functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems in coordination with the compliance team, and directing staff. As a leader, the BU Head of Finance will encourage innovative ideas that are sound and progressive, challenge the status quo, and support creativity in their area of responsibility.

**Job Description**:
Major Tasks & Responsibilities

**Accounting**:
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.

Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports accurately and timely; communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership abreast of financial-accounting status.

Oversee all tax and financial regulatory compliance issues, including preparing and submitting information to statutory authorities in coordination with the tax team.

Liaise with internal and external advisors on preparing statutory financial information, and tax computations.

Provide financial and accounting expertise and support for the regional business operations and management teams.

Oversee Payroll, VAT, and other taxes, including Income Tax compliance and financial reporting.

Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities and drive initiatives to promote efficient and cost-effective operations aligned with business strategy.

Assist in the preparation and execution of financial policies and procedures.

Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed

Ensuring timely preparation and review of all reconciliation of the accounts

FP&A

Own the financial model (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Equity) for the respective Business Unit, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning

Lead monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, and communicating business insights to senior leadership.

Provide ad-hoc analysis and lead various other reporting projects, including decision support, metrics, and analytics

Work with functional business leaders to implement initiatives related to working capital strategies.

Support treasury strategy related to cash management, cash flow, debt, and other initiatives.

Compliance

Oversee internal controls over financial reporting,

Promote a culture of compliance with Company policies and government regulations,

Serve as a role model and leader in demonstrating ethical business practices and conduct.

Proactively communicate with their team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.

Provide required information/documentation for Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Financial Statement Audits.

Team Leadership

Leverage the strengths of the current finance team members and implement training programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.

Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.

**Qualifications**:
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master is a plus)

Proven and robust experience as a Finance Controller/Regional Controller

10 + years of Accounting and Finance experience (preferably in the manufacturing industry).

Knowledge and understanding of IFRS (Knowledge of US GAAP desirable).

Knowledge of best-in-class practices and SOPs

High level of tax and regulatory expertise.

Fluency in English

**Skills**:
Excellent task management and ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs.

Strong teamwork skills to be able to work well with others.

Build strong relationships and interact with all levels in the organization.

Proven experience dealing with senior stakeholders/management.

Superb analytical/quantitative skills and strong executive presence are critical.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Ability to manage direct reports and lead a growing team.

Influencing skills and ability to work through conflicts

Experience in compliance and internal controls.

Proven leadership attitude and abilities.

Demonstrated excellence in business analytics and tools; advanced excel skills and systems experience such as SAP and Power BI is highly desirable.
