Project Support Coordinator

The Project Support Coordinator plays an integral role in the business, and will be expected to provide all aspects of project support including working closely with and supporting the program and project managers in the daily management of multiple projects ensuring their smooth running and compliance with the BorgWarner Policies and procedures.

The Project Support Officer will focus primarily on projects within the Americas region but provide support to the global teams as required.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support, maintain and ensure updates of project management systems
- Support Global Time Entry System
- Train and Coach on the PDP Process
- Assist and Coordinate risk escalation process
- Engage with Project Managers on a daily basis, to ensure compliance to PDP procedures
- Assist and coordinate project reviews, as required
- Support monthly Production Worthiness reviews (Plant and Regional)
- Support Flawless Launch activities, report out Flawless launch metrics
- Collate & compile project metrics, including PPAP on time & Gate FTQ data for local, regional & global reporting.
- Support and develop MS Project Online
- Support Global PSO in monthly PSO communication meetings
- Collect data, audit projects and complete compliance checks
- Assist & coach project managers in usage of Program management tools
- Review and Reduce Project Online project Discrepancies
- Contribute to the efficient running of the Project Management Office
- Maintain launch documentation within Project Online
- Train and assist Project teams on Launch Management processes/procedures
- Coach Country leadership and functional staff on PDP and Program Management
- Manage distribution of Materials and Reports

- Good understanding of Information Technology

Desirable
- Project management experience

SKILLS
- Strong working knowledge of
- Microsoft Office tools (including Word, Excel and SharePoint)
- PDP process
- MS Project Online
- Communication skills - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels in the organization
- Ability to advocate system changes to support business development
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work using initiative to work to deadlines
- Ability to work in a logical manner without close supervision
- Willingness to acquire additional skills and knowledge as required
- Basic working knowledge of
- How to promote values and policies
- Coaching and training

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE

Mandatory
- Engineering degree or experience working in a project management environment
