Job Description

We’re currently looking for a Tableau Specialist to join our team.

The individual will have specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Tableau visualization, capabilities and functionality. They interpret internal or external business issues and recommends best practices to improve products or services. They solve complex problems; taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. They work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations, receiving mínimal guidance and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

**Job functions Include but are not limited to**:
Provide accurate analysis, troubleshooting and testing of Tableau technical issues
Ensure the highest level of communication to meet Tableau Service level Agreement (SLA) by providing regular updates with respect to progress of each incident, and quickly providing high quality, complete, and timely solutions in a professional manner while demonstrating the highest level of customer service
Participates in implementing Tableau Standards and Best Practices for the service/service offerings
Ability to estimate and prioritize Tableau work in Agile environment using SCRUM techniques
Deliver internal training on Tableau capabilities and functionality
Manages communications within the entity between the business unit, Nissan digital, and the Service Provider
Periodic Tableau presentation to Sr. Mgr. within region.
Monitors service levels, contract compliance, and researches and escalates deviations to appropriate levels.
Leads problem escalation with vendors and the resolution of cross-company issues.
Leads resolution of incidents as they occur by working cross-functionally (internally and externally) to ensure maintenance and support is carried out effectively among all parties.
Receives and translates strategic business initiatives into IS initiatives and supporting programs.
Assists the business unit in justifying projects, by participating in the investment decision process to ensure that the IS initiatives are aligned to the business priorities for the entity.
Oversees projects, ensuring they stay on track with defined initiatives.
Aids in the resolution of technical issues in order to keep projects on schedule.
Implements proactive measures to avoid service disruptions

**Qualifications**:
**Years of Experience**:
5+ years overall IS/IT experience
5 years of experience hands on with Tableau
3 years of experience in working with multi-vendor technology teams
3+ years of experience working with SQL
3+ years of experience working with data warehouse

**Academic Education**:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Advanced technical certifications/diploma and/or degree preferred.

**Specific Courses and Knowledge**:
Good understanding of how own area supports Nissan Digital functional objectives.
In-depth knowledge and experience with procedures, processes, concepts, and systems within own discipline used to resolve issues as they arrive.
Broad knowledge of competing and complementing technologies, methodologies, and/or frameworks.
Ability to estimate and prioritize work in Agile environment using SCRUM techniques.

**Certifications**:
Tableau certification preferred

**Skills**:
Provides awareness to other functions on most aspects of the service offerings.
Provides formal thought leadership within the discipline through training, monitoring and coaching.
Participates in implementing standards and best practices for the service/service offerings.
Proficient with tools for communications, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, diagramming, and document management
Comfortable with service management or ticketing tool(s)
Expert skills in using analytic tools including forecasting, predicting trends and gaining insights using past and current data
Expert skills in analytical thinking
In-depth knowledge and a sound understanding of SQL, Business Intelligence, and data analytics
Advanced skills in data visualization and presenting data to diverse audiences
Advanced skills and experience in building and maintaining visually-stunning and interactive dashboards
Advanced skills in manipulating and blending data in order to design dashboards and visualizations
Sound knowledge and experience in Excel, PL/SQL, ETL, and Tableau platform
Technical knowledge of Tableau products and versions including Tableau Server, Tableau Public, Tableau Online, and Tableau Desktop
Intermediate knowledge of data migration, Tableau integration, and extensions
Advanced customer focus skills
Advanced skills in problem solving
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Advanced organization and prioritization skills
Intermediate skills in project management
Broad knowledge of competing and complementing technologies, methodologies, and/or frameworks
Meet or exceed customer satisfaction objectives
Demonstrate a complete understanding of the features and functions within Tableau
