**Position Summary**:
We are currently recruiting for a **Product Engineer Designer** to join our team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) division.

**Position Responsibilities**:
Understand, help develop, and execute the product roadmap for assigned products, including maintaining/improving cost targets, improving performance and capability, support robust supply chain activities, investigate and correct issues with the products, and actively solicit feedback regarding product from multiple sources and implement improvement activities.

Engineering specification and definition of products. This includes technical information (3D models, 2D drawings, BOM’s, engineering instructions), cost information, customer information, supplier information. Works with product managers, designers, supply chain personnel, and product engineers to properly specify products for purchase and manufacture. Duties include sales drawing creation, fabrication work packages, supporting supply chain team with estimates and technical descriptions to suppliers, and development of aftermarket parts lists for the aftermarket team and customer facing documentation for the customers. Sales drawings include 2D and 3D outputs. Fabrication packages include 2D drawings, 2D models, BOM’s, and manufacturing instructions.

Development of drafting and design tools to support improved product performance, cost, specification, sales 3D/2D generation, fabrication work package generation, and part number generation and maintenance and translation to ERP tools. This includes illogic models, automatic BOM’s, tools for automatic production of models and drawings, tools for clear and efficient communication of engineering details to manufacturing centers (internal and external).

Supporting sales, other business units, etc. with drafting and design support (creation of 3D and 2D drawings) as well as product expertise to support other business units if the primary and secondary responsibilities do not constitute a full workload. Other duties and responsibilities may be added on as-needed basis when there is availability. Supplier support, customer support, etc.

Other Duties
- Supports project and order engineering and drafting requirements.
- Reviews customer / industry specifications
- Works within ERP system to ensure that all engineering data is kept up to date for specific product lines

Education, Qualifications and Affiliations_**

Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Mechanical/Electrical preferred. Civil, Structural, Chemical, etc. acceptable.
- English spoken, written, reading & listening (medium - high level)

**Experience**:
**Essential**:

- At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience with demonstrated record of success working within an engineered products and systems business.
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial type industry (automotive, HVAC, industrial equip)
- Experience working with global teams. Americas, Europe, Middle East, Asia
- Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Effective problem - solving, quantitative and business analysis skills, as well as mediation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
- Demonstrated ability to multi - task and work in a fast - paced office setting.
