**Global Travel Coordinator**

**Job Overview**
Join us as a full-time Global Travel Coordinator, orchestrating unique travel arrangements for our CEO who is on the move 365 days a year. This role demands a blend of meticulous planning skills and daring problem-solving abilities. You'll handle 30% high-risk travel coordination in countries like Ukraine and Afghanistan, and 70% of your time will be dedicated to arranging remote work in luxurious locales. This position requires a proactive, resourceful individual who is comfortable navigating both the intensity of conflict zones and the sophistication of world-class resorts.

Location - This is a 100% at home remote position. For homebase, cultural, and timezone reasons we think that being based out of Europe makes the most sense for this position. If you are in the same timezone and can convince us how it will work elsewhere, we are open. Although you will be an expert in booking you will not be going on the actual travel (aside from voluntary company wide events).

**Key Responsibilities**
- High-Risk Travel Management: Plan and coordinate travel in high-risk areas for our CEO, including hiring security in Uganda, arranging helicopters in remote Papua New Guinea, and securing local fixers in active conflict zones like Ukraine.
- Luxury Travel Curator: Craft and optimize high-end travel experiences, utilizing a deep understanding of loyalty programs, deals, and discounts to ensure luxurious yet cost-effective accommodations and activities.
- Company Wide Annual Trip Boss: Since we are so spread and working remote it is difficult to get everyone together in person. Once per year we have an annual retreat and this position will be the master planner. Things such as budget, visa availability, flight times, location, safety, inclusiveness and of course maximum fun must be considered and executed.
- Executive Travel Booking: There may be other travel to coordinate for the Executive Team or other groups as needed. No booking can be seen as too big or too small to handle.
- Seamless Coordination: Ensure all travel plans are executed flawlessly, providing the CEO with peace of mind and the ability to focus on his journalistic duties.
- Cultural and Linguistic Flexibility: Use your multilingual abilities to navigate various cultural landscapes, ensuring clear communication and effective negotiations.
- Multilingual Proficiency: Fluency in multiple languages is highly preferred, with excellent English mandatory to ensure smooth operations and communication.
- Responsiveness: This will be a unique position, but like any the business will be in waves. When the CEO is traveling you may need to be on alert more than usual to ensure smooth operations. Other weeks may be slow in comparison. We expect an average of 40 hours of work however some may be 20 hours and some may be 60.

**Qualifications**
- Experienced and Adaptable: Proven experience in managing complex travel itineraries, particularly in high-risk regions, and luxurious destinations.
- Detail-Oriented Planner: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs and challenges before they arise.
- Strong Negotiator and Researcher: Skilled in negotiating and researching to maximize value without compromising quality.
- Tech-Savvy: Must have reliable access to high-speed internet and be proficient in using digital tools for remote coordination.
- Points Usage Wizard: Experience maximizing and using rewards points in many different areas. AMEX, hotel, flight and more.
- Adventurous Spirit: Comfort with uncertainty and unpredictable schedules, coupled with a readiness to tackle challenges head-on.
- Calm under Pressure: Ability to maintain composure and think clearly during critical situations or when dealing with last-minute changes.
