PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The NRDs Cluster Director (Director de Bloque NRDs in Spanish) will strategically ensure the impact and relevance of World Vision in the Cluster formed by the National Resource Development (NRD) offices of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico by leading the collaborative integration of the National Offices through establishing and implementing a shared strategic framework that includes impact, sustainability, external engagement, programming and organizational effectiveness. The Cluster Director will also be in charge of fostering relationships with and maintaining accountability to Boards and Advisory Councils within the Cluster.
This role is responsible for ensuring the leverage of local resources and success for a major impact.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Leadership and Culture:
- Ensuring people issues are front and center, promoting a culture that embraces diversity, interfaith collaboration, gender balance and engagement with all staff.
- Promote WV’s Vision, Mission, Core Values and key Partnership Standards and Practices among the staff and partners and ensure these are the core foundation of the National Office strategy and work.
- Lead the Cluster Team and ensure diverse representation on the leadership team.
- Engage, influence, lead and grow the Country Program Directors and functional leaders of the Cluster and help them to consolidate their leadership and representativeness.
- Lead to model living our faith with boldness and humility through a high standard of personal Christian leadership, ministry and integrity through lifestyle and work relationships.
- Ensure leadership development and successor identification in the cluster of all strategic roles, areas and initiatives.
- Ensure that National Offices (NOs) build an organizational culture based in WV's mission, vision and values, one that is integrated and shared across the Cluster.
Twin Citizenship and Collaborative Integration:
- Lead the consolidation of the Cluster in all strategic matters by ensuring an agile model of working via collaboration and integration.
- Identify, communicate and monitor the benefits of the collaborative model of the Cluster.
- Represent WV and engage and build strategic alliances with the Governments, major donor agencies, local donors, WV Partnership, non-governmental agencies, churches and media with Cluster´s scope.
- Ensure WV is positioned as a leading NGO in promoting the well-being and rights of children within the Cluster to develop public and stakeholders’ confidence and trust.
Strategy
- Lead the strategy vision for the Cluster, by ensuring the Cluster Strategy framework design, implementation and update on times established for the contribution to “Our Promise” strategic mandates and regional priorities.
- Ensure an integrated approach to the strategic framework progress from National Offices (NOs).
- Ensure National Offices (NOs) accountability in Strategic Framework progress.
- Lead the implementation of strategic priorities for different areas of ministry in the Cluster.
Ministry Performance
- Ensure the desired impact in the lives of the Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) is achieved in all National Offices (NOs) and the Cluster.
- Lead an innovative approach to impact and make sure it is measured, monitored and timely communicated.
- Ensure technical capacity is in place in the Cluster Field Offices to meet programming quality standards and other impact & ministry indicators.
- Ensure Cluster´s indicators in Development, Advocacy, Humanitarian & Emergencies Affairs (HEA) and public Engagement are met according to plans and strategic framework.
- Ensure the positioning of World Vision as the 1st reference of the organization in favor of children's protection through strong advocacy and public engagement strategies.
Stewardship Excellence and Governance
- Ensure excellent standards in the management of the human, financial, capital and technical resources of the organization, which includes inspiring and maintaining high standards of work and clear accountability to stakeholders.
- Have overall responsibility for the assessment of risks and the development of risk management planning to mitigate risks to office operations, staff, assets and programs.
