We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to lead our national business development efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing sales strategies to drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities:- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve profitable growth, focusing on distribution, sales, and key account management.
- National Business Growth: Develop and grow the national business in relevant aspects, including distribution, sales, and key account management.
- Distribution Organization: Develop and implement a suitable and efficient national distribution organization.
- Key Account Strategy: Develop and implement a key account strategy, providing guidance and support to the key accounts manager for negotiations in all aspects.
- Team Leadership: Lead the sales team effectively, with the highest integrity and efficiency.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work actively with the marketing team to ensure product rotation, profitability, and shopper KPI achievement.
- Distributor Support: Lead and support distributors in sales, distribution, and negotiation meetings together with sales managers.
- Performance Management: Manage performance of distributors and key accounts, preparing regular business review meetings.
- Sales-Force Management: Implement sales-force management and reporting tools.
- Key Account Negotiation: Negotiate with selected key accounts.
- Budget Planning: Establish yearly sales and marketing budgets and plans together with the marketing manager.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all company stated practices, strategic objectives, and reporting deadlines.
- All local employees and country management team.
- Large customers/distributors.
- University degree.
- At least 8 years of managerial experience in several sales functions.
- Experienced in guiding, leading, and motivating a team.
- Experience in leading annual negotiations, preparation, and execution of distributor contracts.
- Experience in leading and developing national key accounts.
- Fluent in English.
- Good knowledge of trade structure and sales-force management.
- Overview knowledge on processes and principles of a P&L statement and financial key figures.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of local trade, customers, and competitors.
- Strong leadership qualities and commitment to personal development and talent management.
- Strategic thinking.
- Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and ability to manage change.
- Negotiation skills.
