Key Responsibilities - Inspect vehicles involved in accidents, collisions, or damage claims, either on-site or through digital assessments. - Evaluate vehicle damage and determine repair methods, labor hours, and parts requirements. - Prepare detailed damage assessment reports and cost estimates using approved appraisal systems. - Verify coverage and ensure claims comply with policy terms and insurance guidelines. - Coordinate with repair shops, body shops, dealers, and insurance adjusters to validate repair scopes and costs. - Review supplements and re-inspections when additional damage is identified. - Ensure accurate documentation, photos, and records are maintained for each claim. - Support claims resolution by providing technical guidance and appraisal justification. - Identify potential fraud, inconsistencies, or non-compliant repair practices and escalate as needed. - Comply with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Requirements - Bachelor's degree or technical certification in Automotive Technology, Engineering, Administration, or a related field. - No more than 2 years of experience as a car insurance appraiser, estimator, or automotive damage assessor in corporate or administrative position in an insurance company. - Experience working with OEM-certified repair centers and dealer networks - Familiarity with insurance claims processes and appraisal methodologies. - Professional English proficiency is a must "At BYD Mexico, we promote equal employment opportunities and respect for diversity.
