Position Overview

- Compensation: $2,000–$2,500 USD/month base (experience-based) + commission

We're seeking a motivated SDR to generate a qualified pipeline and drive Alcatraz AI's growth.
Role Overview
The SDR will identify and create new qualified sales opportunities for the sales team. This front-line role combines research, strategic outreach, and relationship-building to engage potential customers and communicate the value of Alcatraz's solutions. You'll interact with key decision-makers across higher education, life sciences, manufacturing, and critical infrastructure, helping them understand how Alcatraz AI enhances security, efficiency, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Outreach: Engage potential customers via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Lead Qualification: Conduct discovery calls to assess needs, challenges, and buying intent before passing opportunities to AEs
- Pipeline Generation: Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team
- Research & Targeting: Leverage HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo IO, Clay, and other tools to identify accounts and key decision-makers
- Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Sales to execute campaigns, follow up on inbound leads, and refine messaging
- Customer Education: Communicate Alcatraz AI's value proposition through compelling storytelling and solution-focused conversations
- CRM Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date records of outreach, conversations, and opportunity stages
- Quota Achievement: Meet or exceed weekly/monthly metrics for calls, emails, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in training, provide feedback on campaigns, and share insights to improve team performance
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or lead generation (B2B tech, SaaS, or security preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to engage executives at multiple levels
- High motivation, resilience, and a competitive spirit
- Proficiency with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales automation tools (Apollo IO, Clay, Gong, a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
