The Regional IT Program Manager will oversee a complex multi-year, multi-function regional program, ensuring it delivers the expected business case to the business partner, on time, on budget, on scope, and on quality. This requires dynamic and iterative scoping, delivery, and change management (agile program management). The Program Manager will adhere to established program and project management methodologies, structuring the program, planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing it, ensuring quality and integrity of information across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish program structure, defining projects and implementing agile project methodologies
- Establish program governance, securing sponsor commitment
- Manage interdependencies between projects in scope of the program
- Direct or approve the use of professional service providers/external suppliers, determining their role across the program according to IT sourcing strategy
- Establish a milestones-based program plan, delivered through incremental releases/achievements. Create a value delivery plan in parallel
- Lead stakeholder mapping, communications, and reporting
- Program budgeting
- Project initiation, program monitoring and control, risk assessment
- Lead reviews with executive sponsors and stakeholders to identify organic or specific program needs and/or changes, directing the development of appropriate approaches to address
- Project execution monitoring
- Business case measurement (optional, decided by business sponsor)
- Program closure, project closure
- Team and resource management in line with company business principles and values
Required Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT and business/industry
- 5-7 years of diverse roles and increasing leadership responsibilities across major projects and programs, including agile projects and programs
- Leadership skills and track record in developing people, particularly in managing virtual teams. Managing cultural diversity: respect for various cultures and understanding how to work with a variety of cultures in the most effective way. Experience in managing change/transitions. Operating in a matrix organization and development of influencing skills
- Stakeholder management in project/program management role
- Facilitation of issues and conflict resolution in a cross-functional environment
- Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
- Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese is a plus
- Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
