About the Role:

SGI Global, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Policing Specialist to support the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico. The successful candidate will provide professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical assistance and advice to implement community police programs in Mexico City and other locations in Mexico, the United States, and other countries.
  2. Develop and maintain contact with Mexican government officials, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and U.S. government agencies to support community policing initiatives.
  3. Coordinate and manage the implementation of community policing programs, including developing training programs for law enforcement agencies.
  4. Assist in the development of comprehensive training programs for law enforcement agencies and provide expertise and training to personnel involved in community police training processes.
  5. Develop training programs to enhance citizen security and community safety, as well as develop a more professional staff.
  6. Perform other duties as required by the INL for this position.

Requirements:

  1. U.S. Citizen
  2. Spanish FSI level 3/3
  3. English FSI level 4/4
  4. Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Public Policy, Social Science, or related field, or 10 years of experience as a law enforcement professional
  5. 5 years of experience conducting research and managing community police projects, including direct experience in implementing community-based activities
  6. Experience in managing programs, project implementation, analysis, and evaluation
  7. Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check
  8. Familiarity with U.S. Government acquisition contracting management regulations, logistics, and financial management policies and procedures
  9. Ability to deal effectively with senior U.S. and Mexican officials
  10. Experience in drafting and authoring reports
  11. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
