About the Role

Nearshore Cyber is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of security measures to protect against cyber threats
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Implement security controls and technologies to prevent and detect cyber attacks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our security posture remains strong
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, including compliance and risk management
  • Strong technical and analytical expertise, with a proven background in technology design, implementation, and delivery
  • Experience in cloud computing technologies, including software-, infrastructure-, and platform-as-a-service, as well as public, private, and hybrid environments
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional security controls and technologies, such as security information and event management systems, intrusion detection and prevention systems, public key infrastructure, identity and access management systems, endpoint detection and response, data loss prevention, and firewalls
  • CISSP, CISM or similar certification required
