We're seeking an exceptional Manufacturing Innovator - Mold Design Specialist to join our Manufacturing Operations Team in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua. This role is pivotal in defining the technical and design requirements for constructing molds that meet our stringent specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define technical requirements and design characteristics for plastic injection molds.
  • Coordinate mold design for new product introduction and replacement, ensuring seamless integration with our manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and manage RFQ formats for mold quotations, considering factors like metal type, gate, casting system, and other relevant specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to select suitable mold manufacturers based on project characteristics and needs.
  • Lead design reviews to ensure compliance with CommScope's technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Establish methods for validating new molds to guarantee their performance and reliability.
  • Supervise mechanical inspections of incoming molds at our Juarez Campus to ensure adherence to our quality standards.
  • In coordination with the Tool Room Supervisor, define preventive maintenance schedules for new molds to optimize their lifespan.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to Molding Process Engineers to resolve issues with existing molds.

Requirements for Success:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in mold design and construction.
  • Proficiency in metals for mold construction and experience in mold validations.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, to support our talented team members in their professional growth.
