About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Consultant to join our team at Steelcase. As an Operations Consultant, you will play a critical role in driving business transformation and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of technical and lean solutions within the Central Scheduling organization to achieve customer service and satisfaction goals.
  • Initiate and lead Central Scheduling projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement collaborative processes and coordinate resources.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address Supply Chain disruptions, documenting actionable steps to drive team accountability and monitor disruption performance.
  • Lead the implementation of process standardization, documentation, and identifying process efficiencies to recommend to leadership.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement remedial corrective actions using common problem-solving tools.
  • Work cross-functionally and with leadership to document standard work, update process maps, and use multimedia software to ensure effective training and best practices.
  • Participate in day-to-day processes, ensuring a proper customer experience.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities depending on business conditions.
  • Track and follow-up activities, reporting and communicating to different levels of the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to Engineering, Lean, Supply Management, or Project Management.
  • Advanced English is a must.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency level is a must.
  • 2-3 Years of experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to lead projects involving new initiatives and application of principles relevant to Central Scheduling.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Smartsheet, intermediate proficiency level.
  • SAP.
  • Visio, intermediate proficiency level.
  • Process Mapping Software (Mural).
  • Data visualization software is a plus (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to learn SAP transactions and MS Office tools.
  • Ability to consistently consider optimization for better business results, lead in an autonomous way, self-starter, and go-getter.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong knowledge in Lean Office processes and tools.
  • Must have a process-oriented vision, in addition to functional and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to set high goals and standards for self and others.
  • Ability to build and nurture effective relationships with internal stakeholders and different departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing demands through strong organizational skills, sense of priorities to meet deadlines.
