Airline Support Specialist Job Description

The Airline Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our airline partner onsite at their office location in Mexico City, MX. This position requires a strong focus on providing professional, courteous, and friendly service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process hotel and ground transportation reservations for our airline partner.
  • Cultivate successful relationships with our airline partner and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to our airline partner as needed.
  • Assess all customer needs and respond promptly, accurately, and professionally.
  • Follow up on all client requests and transactions to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best outcome for our clients and API.
  • Resolve client disagreements in a calm and professional manner.
  • Effectively use all available tools and methodology to track and provide solutions to client needs.
  • Adapt to irregular operations to accommodate changing dynamics of airline schedules and unforeseen situations.
  • Maintain knowledge of API's call center work methodology and reservation systems to best serve our clients.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual Spanish/English.
  • Prior experience with GDS systems, hotel reservation systems, airline reservation systems, and/or related functions is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great telephone etiquette.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Flexible work schedule including availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work overtime if needed.
