Job Responsibilities
  1. Create compelling, inspiring, and unique digital designs for Whirlpool connected home appliances and services.
  2. Work closely with UX and motion designers to develop innovative solutions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional global stakeholders to understand requirements and co-create thoughtful solutions.
  4. Convert UX wireframes into high-fidelity mockups, and pixel-perfect visual designs and assets.
  5. Create, maintain, and apply UI best practices to drive innovation and ensure visual design solutions are highly scalable across multiple applications.
  6. Advocate for user-centered design while having a vision for a now-near-far roadmap of implementation.
  7. Contribute to the development of our Design Systems for the different brands to create amazing user experiences.
  8. Work with the development team to provide guidance and validate the implementation.
  9. Audit early software builds to ensure the team's vision is being properly applied.
  10. Foster the future: Actively seek and share digital inspiration (creative, technology, general digital trends).
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. 3+ years of experience creating mockups / rapid prototypes, user flows, wireframes, and building user interfaces.
  3. 3+ years of experience with digital design tools including Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Abstract, Zeplin, as well as a strong understanding of Android and IOS.
  4. Experience with the human-centered design process.
  5. A portfolio highlighting multiple projects and your direct contributions.
  6. 5+ years of color, material and finish design experience.
Preferred Skills and Experiences
  1. Master's degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  2. Ability to design seamlessly between the physical and digital experiences.
  3. 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  4. Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features, all with a user-centered design process.
  5. Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for multiple platforms and modalities.
  7. Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  8. Experience collaborating with a cross-functional team throughout the design process.
