Job Summary:

As a key member of the American Axle & Manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to schedule and manage customer shipments, monitor production, and control the procurement of raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer weekly and daily ship requirements and window times, communicating with production and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track raw material replenishment to ensure production coverage, utilizing reports to support daily and weekly operations.
  • Help coordinate and communicate daily production build requirements to satisfy customer demand and maintain inventory targets.
  • Review and maintain supplier forecasts on a weekly basis, ensuring alignment with production planning and forecasting.
  • Communicate proactively with trading partners to resolve any issues that may impact supply chain operations.
  • Expedite inbound and outbound material by identifying problems and resolutions, ensuring a smooth flow of goods.
  • Maintain pull loop size based on PFEP recommendations, monitoring and updating the PFEP collection plans for accuracy.
  • Proactively elevate critical supply issues and delivery issues to management, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Utilize the supplier scorecard to identify areas for improvement and work closely with suppliers to enhance performance.
  • Maintain inventory targets while ensuring smooth operations, adhering to safe practices and following all company policies.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using reports and data to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex supply chain issues.
