Job Description

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our costing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze general accounting, manufacturing cost, and inventory transactions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Global Procurement and Logistics team to develop and load material and freight standard costs into SAP.
  • Investigate and explain book-to-physical differences, and implement procedures to eliminate inventory variances.
  • Assist the Plant Controller in balance sheet audits and internal audits.
  • Review labor routes, cost new parts, and ensure BOM op levels and labor routes match.
  • Analyze standard costs on a periodic basis and review variances, including preparation of monthly volume/mix/price variance and OPS and monthly bridges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cost and accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and ERP management.
  • English language skills (80% or higher).
