Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our costing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze general accounting, manufacturing cost, and inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Global Procurement and Logistics team to develop and load material and freight standard costs into SAP.
  • Identify and explain book-to-physical differences and establish procedures to eliminate inventory variances.
  • Control capital expenditures and assist with balance sheet audits and internal audits.
  • Analyze standard costs and review variances, including preparation of monthly volume/mix/price variance and OPS and monthly bridges.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cost and accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP management and people management.
  • Focus on customer service and manufacturing expertise.
  • English skills: 80%.
  • Office management skills.
