Enterprise Network Security Specialist

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Network Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our customers and driving the resolution of complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Tier-3 support for F5 Global Services, handling technical issues of any complexity with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop creative solutions to problems and prove them out in a lab environment, leveraging your expertise in network security and advanced protocols.
- Solve complex technical challenges that span the OSI model, including application behavior and software/hardware interactions.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Product Management to ensure products meet customer requirements, and participate in knowledge-share via documentation creation, training, and mentoring.
- Work on escalations (customer issues) and departmental projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding customer expectations.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in network security, with a strong background in Tiered application architectures.
- Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on network security and advanced protocols.
- Familiarity with web servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx, Lighttpd, IIS), SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MS SQL), and Linux/UNIX environments.
- Expert technical knowledge of and experience troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, packet manipulation, and crafting using tools such as hping, scapy, and iptables.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics to customers, peers, and non-technical personnel.
- Experience with Network Security, Tiered application architectures, and advanced protocols.
- Familiarity with web servers, SQL databases, and Linux/UNIX environments.
- Expert technical knowledge of and experience troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, packet manipulation, and crafting using tools such as hping, scapy, and iptables.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics to customers, peers, and non-technical personnel.
- Deep conceptual knowledge of the architecture of software and networking protocols, with a focus on network security and advanced protocols.
- Expert technical knowledge of and experience troubleshooting Linux/UNIX environments, with a focus on network security and advanced protocols.
- Strong technical knowledge of and experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and denial of service defense.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of networking topics, including routing, switching, and network architecture.
