Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Representative to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you'll be responsible for administering human resources policies and procedures, collecting and analyzing HR data, and making recommendations to management. You'll also be responsible for processing paperwork, preparing internal employee communications, and providing guidance to site leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement human talent strategies, programs, and policies to ensure company objectives are met in areas such as safety, productivity, quality, customer service, sales, human capital, cost, and profitability.
  • Support the successful deployment of talent acquisition/management, employee engagement, leadership development, communications, compensation, and benefits initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to site leaders to foster a high-performance workforce and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Assist with employee/labor relations, including conducting investigations, administering disciplinary action, and preparing grievance responses as needed.
  • Assist with compliance to collective bargaining agreements, including contract interpretation and disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Support effective delivery of HR services to assigned sites.
  • Collect and analyze key HR metrics to support site business objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of employee-related data and documentation.
  • Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Some relevant experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources function or department.
  • Ability to use and administer the organization's HR policies, strategies, and environment.
  • Knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and local laws and ability to advise on laws and regulations affecting HR practices.
  • Knowledge of HR approaches, tools, and techniques and ability to inform, guide, and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.
