Continuous Improvement Specialist

**Job Summary**:
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for supporting the deployment of the Eaton Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Framework tools across the facility in alignment with the plant Manufacturing Strategy to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and financial targets for the site.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to the advancement of the organization in the Operations Assessment (OpA).
- Execute initiatives to develop, implement, and improve Eaton Lean Systems throughout the operation, with all required documentation and metrics.
- Analyze key metrics related to the Eaton Lean System on the Balanced Scorecard and perform periodical reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
- Develop a strategic plan for the plant to exceed OpA/ELSS requirements.
- Lead the ELSS Self-assessment team and conduct training and audits quarterly, developing implementation plans with the Business Team and Operational Leaders after quarterly reviews.
- Facilitate the Plant CIF Council, which consists of Business Team Leaders, Staff members, and Operational Excellence Leaders, to monitor OpA, ELSS, and Lean BSC metrics and redirect activities and resources as needed to exceed requirements.
- Plan and deploy training to support Lean Manufacturing Engineer, TPM Coordinator, OEE Coordinator, and other ELSS tool Champions to sustain needed deployment levels at the Plant.
- Train Kaizen team leaders to facilitate events and coordinate a structured closure process on follow-up activities.
- Have the ability to lead and train diverse teams.
- Support sharing of best practices as a result of internal and external benchmarking activities.
- Participate as a member of the Eaton Continuous Improvement Council.
- Promote the company's vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
- Digitalize actual processes like 5's and ideas programs, demonstrating a digital mindset competency.
- Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
- Work with operations leadership and operational excellence resources to ensure best practices are shared across the organization.
**Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing to analyze, evaluate, and determine solutions to a wide variety of problems that may affect the assigned area.
- Leadership skills to lead the organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills.
- Project management skills (preferred).
- Understanding of problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis).
- Detail-oriented.
- Goal-oriented.
**Education/Previous Experience Requirements**:
- A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
- 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing to analyze, evaluate, and determine solutions to a wide variety of problems that may affect the assigned area.
- Leadership.
- Intermediate-advanced level of English.
- Advanced computer usage.
