Position Overview:

As an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect at DaCodes, you will play a pivotal role in crafting, executing, and overseeing cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and diverse teams will be essential in translating business needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring the seamless deployment and operation of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Design: Create and design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on AWS that adhere to industry best practices and align with business objectives.
  • Cloud Strategy: Formulate cloud strategies that encompass cost efficiency, security, governance, and automation to fulfill clients' long-term aspirations.
  • Implementation & Deployment: Spearhead the deployment of cloud infrastructure, including the provisioning, configuration, and rollout of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, among others.
  • Migration: Strategize and execute cloud migration initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance during transitions from on-premises or other cloud platforms to AWS.
  • Security & Compliance: Guarantee that cloud architectures comply with security and regulatory standards, applying best practices for data protection, identity management, and access control.
  • Automation & DevOps: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and other automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee and enhance cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of deployed solutions.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to grasp requirements, provide technical insight, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and configurations to support ongoing management and knowledge sharing.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and services to improve solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or solutions architecture.
    • Demonstrated experience with AWS Services.
    • Experience in cloud migration, automation, and DevOps methodologies.
    • Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional is mandatory. Additional AWS certifications are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
    • Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Strong scripting abilities (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with alternative cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is beneficial.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud settings.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
