Position Overview:

As an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect at DaCodes, you will play a pivotal role in crafting, deploying, and overseeing cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and diverse teams will be essential in comprehending business needs, converting them into effective technical solutions, and ensuring the seamless operation of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Design: Create and design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on AWS that adhere to industry best practices and meet business objectives.
  • Cloud Strategy: Formulate cloud strategies focusing on cost efficiency, security, governance, and automation to align with clients' long-term aspirations.
  • Implementation & Deployment: Spearhead the deployment of cloud infrastructure, including the setup, configuration, and execution of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, among others.
  • Migration: Strategize and execute cloud migration initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance during transitions from on-premises or alternative cloud platforms to AWS.
  • Security & Compliance: Guarantee that cloud architectures fulfill security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for data protection, identity management, and access control.
  • Automation & DevOps: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and other automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee and enhance cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of the deployed solutions.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to grasp requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and configurations to support ongoing management and knowledge sharing.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and services to enhance solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in cloud engineering or solutions architecture.
    • Demonstrated experience with AWS Services.
    • Experience in cloud migration, automation, and DevOps methodologies.
    • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional is mandatory. Additional AWS certifications are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, security, performance, and cost management.
    • Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Strong scripting capabilities (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is beneficial.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud settings.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
