Job Description

In this key role as Wholesale Inventory Optimization Specialist, you will partner with our wholesale and merchandising teams to develop and manage comprehensive business strategies that drive sales, optimize inventory investment, and generate profit by account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Open-to-Buy process, build financial plans, and perform analysis to support the sales plan.
  • Drive financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals, and minimize excess inventory for both the company and account.
  • Develop bottom-up sales and inventory plans based on Customer sell-out trends, channel inventory levels, informing financial decisions inclusive of product mix, AIR, AUC, turn, Receipt Flow, and Markdown vs. Reg Selling.

You will create and distribute weekly and monthly business recaps versus plan and forecast, emphasizing performance drivers and issues with solutions and influence highlighted. Additionally, you will use historical data to identify essential insights around product, pricing, and inventory and apply these insights to future seasons.

Your expertise will be crucial in recommending promotional pricing that maximizes sales and margin while balancing inventory. You will also determine markdown and end-of-life disposition strategies for non-go forward products.

We are seeking a highly analytical individual with strong problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal, and marketplace information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, along with strong listening and interpersonal skills. Advanced English proficiency is required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.

  • Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAS).
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced English Level.
Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

This salary range is based on the location in Mexico, D.F., Mexico, and industry standards for a Wholesale Inventory Optimization Specialist position.
