Infrastructure Operations Engineer: Empowering Developer Experience

Our Infrastructure Operations Engineering team (InfraOps) plays a pivotal role in delivering a premier developer experience by providing unparalleled support for infrastructure platforms and tooling. InfraOps engineers serve as subject matter experts, offering guidance and solutions to product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Own and resolve customer issues, conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues.
  3. Embed with partner infrastructure teams to streamline support and reduce maintenance burdens.
  4. Lead incident response efforts, triaging issues and rallying teams to resolve them.
  5. Design, operate, and upgrade software systems within InfraOps domains.
  6. Partner with teams on initiatives like automation, migration, and knowledge base development.
  7. Maintain and champion high standards of customer service, advocating for Infra's customers.

Requirements:

  1. Passion for customer-centricity and comprehensive issue resolution.
  2. Understanding of support organizations and key indicators driving supportability.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service acumen.
  4. Proficiency in Linux systems administration, including shell scripting and troubleshooting.
  5. Experience debugging complex issues in distributed systems.
  6. Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration solutions.
  7. Understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud computing technology.
  8. Experience with Go, Python, or similar languages.

This role will be part of our hybrid team, with a blend of in-office and remote work arrangements. Hybrid team members will work in the office on Mondays, Thursdays, and a team-specific third day, with flexibility to work from anywhere for up to four weeks per year.
