About the Role:
Sonder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of housekeepers, ensuring that our properties are clean and well-maintained, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the work of housekeepers and housekeeping support agents, including daily logistics, scheduling, and quality control
- Inspect common areas of buildings, including lobbies, public restrooms, fitness centers, and back-of-house areas, to ensure they meet Sonder's high standards
- Maintain required pars of linen, amenities, and consumables for inventory management and daily distribution
- Perform inspections and quality assurance audits of cleaned apartments and provide training and feedback to housekeepers as needed
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, security issues, or damage to Sonder property
- Coordinate with third-party vendors regarding daily cleanings
- Conduct special projects as assigned
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, changing linen and terry, window washing, surface polishing, and trash/recycle removal
Requirements:
- A professional with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a leadership position and independently
- Previous experience in a leadership role with a housekeeping department or similar operation, with a focus on personnel management
- Technical working knowledge of digital productivity tools, including data analytics creation via a spreadsheet
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of operating household cleaning equipment
- Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required loads (usually about 40 lbs)
