About the Role

As a Bar Operations Manager at Rosewood San Miguel de Allende, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional bar experiences to our guests. This includes efficiently preparing drinks, setting up and breaking down the bar, and communicating with colleagues to ensure seamless service.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver all bar-related aspects of the guest experience according to Rosewood standards.
  2. Efficiently prepare drinks, set up and break down the bar in line with Standard Operation Procedures (SOP's).
  3. Effectively communicate, prioritize and delegate tasks in a sophisticated environment.
  4. Ensure the best range of quality drinks are available by trained, knowledgeable staff as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  5. Take a proactive approach in developing bartenders, barbacks and ultimately the overall guest experience.
  6. Continuously drive the quality of product and deliver excellent results.
  7. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all associates deliver the brand promise and always provide exceptional guest service.
  8. Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
  9. Finance: Maximizes associate productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
  10. Marketing: Evaluates local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations constantly to make sure that the hotel's operations remain competitive and cutting edge.
  11. Is savvy of the local scene and maintains strong network of contacts to entertainers, barmen.
  12. Maintains a close relationship with regular patrons and entertains whenever appropriate.
  13. Operations: Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented.
  14. Ensures that all Food and Beverage essentials are implemented.
  15. Responds to the results of the consumer audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.
  16. Tastes and monitors the beverage products served throughout the operation, provides feedback where appropriate.
  17. Conducts frequent and thorough inspections.
  18. Human Resources: Oversees the punctuality and appearance of Bar associates, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department's grooming standards.
  19. Maximizes the effectiveness of associates by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Bar operations or freestanding lifestyle restaurants.
  • Experience with leading bars and restaurant background.
  • Has previously worked in the local/national bar scene.
  • Hotel Management or business degree preferred.
  • Proficient and Fluent in Spanish and English as a must.
