We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Freudenberg Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the management of our standard cost system, reporting manufacturing costs and variances, and identifying potential savings related to production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of the standard cost system and report manufacturing costs and variances to the management team.
- Identify potential savings related to production efficiency and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and implement operational accounting best practices to improve financial performance.
- Support Operations and Commercial teams in costing-related analysis and decision-making.
- Assist in the monthly close and reporting process, as well as the annual audit process.
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or equivalent required.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency in computer and related software programs, including SAP, Oracle, and MS Office tools.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounting or Finance in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and motivation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
