About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our System & Infrastructure DevOps team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and supporting various business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Manage and maintain our platform with Guest OS, Virtual machines, Containers and Services running on Converged Cloud.
  • Help to architect, build, and operate the Central Infrastructure Services for Continuous Integration, Delivery and Continuous Testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform and application-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect our systems and data.
  • Be part of an agile team running in Kanban mode, managing projects using Kanban methodology.
  • Assist with project documentation, including project plans, presentations, and status reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong understanding of software development and deployment processes.
  • 5+ years of Linux system administration required. Suse knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages is a must (bash, python, go).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Chef and Ansible.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools like Jira and Excel, MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of Incident, Change and Service Management in an Enterprise Environment.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform, including ITSM.
  • ITIL Certificate highly desirable.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Ansible.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using version control mechanisms like Git, Confluence.
