Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Amazon Messaging Queue and RabbitMQ

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Queue and Streaming team in efforts aimed at delivering significant cost reductions. The key focus areas for this role include:
- Migrating to Amazon Messaging Queue (AMQ) to enhance scalability and reliability.
- Decommissioning AWS EC2 instances to achieve cost efficiency and reduce infrastructure complexity.
- Resizing clusters to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
- Consolidating QA clusters to streamline operations and achieve cost savings.
- Lead the migration efforts to Amazon Messaging Queue (AMQ) ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to services.
- Strategically plan and execute the decommissioning of AWS EC2 instances to achieve cost efficiency.
- Analyze and implement cluster resizing strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
- Oversee the consolidation of QA clusters to streamline operations and achieve cost savings.
- Utilize RabbitMQ as the platform framework for various messaging and streaming tasks.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using AWS Terraform to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or a related field.
- Strong expertise in AWS Terraform is mandatory.
- Experience with Amazon Messaging Queue (AMQ) and RabbitMQ is essential.
- Knowledge of Kafka and Confluent is a plus.
- Proven experience in cloud migration, cost optimization, and infrastructure management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
