About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our customers and internal teams, helping them to succeed with our cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues through various contact channels.
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience, including creating tutorials, how-to videos, and technical articles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve our services and work on complex customer problems that span multiple AWS services.
  • Continuously learn and develop new technical skills and competencies to stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies.
  • Participate in interviewing and coaching new team members.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience with application deployment pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes, or administration and troubleshooting of two or more of the following: DevOps, deployment, container orchestration management, or configuration management.
  • Knowledge or experience with system administration, troubleshooting operating systems (Linux and/or Windows), and networking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) within technical and business settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the complete deployment lifecycle, including deployment methods such as Blue/Green and Rolling Deployments.
  • Experience with hypervisor/virtualization, infrastructure as code systems (CloudFormation, Terraform), and cloud computing concepts.
  • Experience scripting or developing in one or more of the following languages: UNIX Shell, Python, R, Ruby, GO, Java,.NET (C#), or JavaScript.
