Summary

This position represents the first full level of specialization, where expertise is applied across multiple areas. The role involves working within established professional standards and policies, addressing diverse challenges that require thorough data analysis and evaluation of identifiable factors.

Detailed Description

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Formulating and executing comprehensive SIOP strategies to synchronize sales, inventory, and production plans. Balancing demand and supply to align with production schedules. Collaborating with production teams to meet capacity utilization targets. Creating and disseminating weekly build plans to facilitate timely production. Overseeing production processes to ensure compliance with schedules and quality benchmarks. Leveraging Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to oversee material planning from procurement to production. Generating forecasts for raw material requirements by analyzing purchases, production rates, and maintenance schedules. Coordinating with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of raw materials. Applying lean manufacturing principles to enhance process efficiency. Engaging in negotiations with suppliers to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines. Cultivating strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality deliveries. Monitoring supplier performance and implementing corrective measures as necessary. Identifying and applying metrics to minimize inventory investment while optimizing performance. Managing inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production needs. Coordinating logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Implementing replenishment strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels. Ensuring customer requirements are met by maintaining high inventory availability and prompt delivery.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Proficiency in English Strong drive for results Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Advanced data analysis and management skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Expertise in MRP systems, SAP, APO, and ERP. Familiarity with SIOP processes and detailed scheduling methodologies.

Physical Demands

This role is primarily performed in a standard office environment. Duties may involve extended periods of sitting and focused visual concentration on computer screens or detailed data. Frequent repetitive manual tasks (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, etc.) are required. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Typical Experience

Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in an ETO or quick engineering change process environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.

Typical Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
