POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Coordinator to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and event planners to discuss event details and ensure a seamless experience
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of event materials and services
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure successful events
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, including greeting and welcoming them, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Work closely with the events team to ensure all events are executed to the highest standards

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of related work experience; supervisory experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related work experience in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of event planning software and tools
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
