POSITION SUMMARY

As a Banquet Coordinator at Marriott International, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions. This includes meeting with clients to discuss event details, coordinating logistics, and overseeing the setup and teardown of events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with clients to discuss event details and preferences
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Oversee the setup and teardown of events, including decorating and arranging tables and chairs
  • Ensure that all events are executed according to Marriott International's high standards
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

WORK ENVIRONMENT

As a Banquet Coordinator, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends. You will also be required to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
