About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Global Sourcing Specialist to join our team at Buscojobs México. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for executing sourcing activities to ensure reliable primary and alternate sources of worldwide supply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate the sourcing process by monitoring and assessing our current supply base and identifying new potential suppliers for qualification.
  • Lead the supplier evaluation, selection, and qualification processes.
  • Optimize the supply base to address local content or regional needs, support growth initiatives, mitigate risk, and implement business continuation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business groups to ensure effective supply chain management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and sourcing, with a focus on global supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex sourcing projects and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP software and supply chain management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Supply Chain Certification from a professional institution (e.g. APICS, IIPMR, ISCEA, ISM, etc.).
  • Experience with 6-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Project Management or 6-Sigma Blackbelt Certification.
