Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sourcing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Accelerated Product Design (APD) teams, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure the best commercial conditions for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, establish, execute, and track APD strategy to ensure the best commercial conditions for the company.
- Participate as a key member on APD teams and represent the procurement function on major/platform APD project teams.
- Conceptualize, develop, and implement procurement strategies for purchased components to support assigned APD projects and overarching procurement objectives.
- Provide guidance and leadership to APD project teams on supplier selection and parts sourcing activities.
- Execute focused negotiations that drive best total cost and ensure continuous supply for Donaldson with focus on utilizing Donaldson Strategic Suppliers wherever possible.
- Set up and execute complex agreements using advanced tools and techniques (MOQ, EOQ, Stocking Programs, KAN BAN, Make/Buy/Value Add and Landed cost analysis) in support of Donaldson manufacturing and distribution sites and their inventory planning teams.
- Set up and manage the Supplier Purchased Part Approval Process (SPPAP) for all purchased parts within APD programs and qualification levels of those parts.
- Evaluate SPPAP submissions for capability, control plan content, PFMEA RPM values and any corrective actions related to these.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or another related field.
- 3 years of professional level experience.
- Strong data analytic skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Strong negotiator who uses knowledge based and data driven negotiation techniques.
- Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Procurement or Supply Chain experience.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to interpret 2D prints and 3D models.
