Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Environmental Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance to lead our EH&S functions at all sites in Mexicali. This role will oversee the development and execution of budgets, processes, and procedures to ensure employee safety and promote health among associates.
Responsibilities- Determine safety strategies, policies, practices, training compliance processes.
- Administer Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and compliance including Illness and Injury Prevention Program, Accident Investigations, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Waste Management, Emergency Action Plan, and Ergonomics programs.
- Serve as liaison and prepare liaison teams to interact with agencies such as Public Safety Department, Medical, and Management authorities.
- Drive and support efforts of company safety committees.
- Manage safety compliance calendars with submissions for permit applications and fees, regulatory reports, HMBP/HMIS, Hazardous Waste Manifests, and verification.
- Oversee safety-related vendor contracts and budget (hazardous medical waste management, safety equipment providers, and consultants).
- Provide safety consultative services to the entire organization.
- Conduct regular safety checks of all areas and make recommendations for improvements.
- Mandatory Skills:
- Professional experience in industrial maintenance, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, or safety management.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Desirable Skills:
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS laws and other government compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Basic knowledge and experience in building construction.
- Excellent software skills, MS Office Suite.
- Effective written and oral communication skills within a culturally diverse environment.
