Role Overview

HSBC is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of VP Financial Crime Wholesale Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB). This position is accountable for ensuring adequate controls are in place to manage financial crime risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with business or regulatory-driven projects across Wholesale and WPB as required.
  • Providing support for Management Information (MI) via Financial Crime Risk (FCR) MI commentary, review of HELIOS data, Management Self-Identified Issue (MSII) and Exam issue review.
  • Triaging incoming requests and escalations from the Line of Business and communicating needs to the wider team.
  • Supporting decisions through advice, counsel, or services in the area of specialization.
  • Adhering to and actively supporting established policies and procedures in the team.
  • Supporting and embedding change initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • University degree in Political Science (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong critical thinking skill set.
  • Interest in Internal Control.
  • Lateral thinker with the ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
  • High level of English language skills.
  • Proficient in Risk.
  • Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills.
