Job Overview

We're looking for a skilled Unix Systems Analyst located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the IT Senior Manager, this role involves being responsible for day-to-day 24x7 operation of all high-end enterprise Unix systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing, configuring, and managing large multi-node clusters on hard/soft/logical system partitions.
  • Utilizing and supporting enterprise storage in both SAN & NAS environments and cloud storage in public clouds.
  • Performing capacity planning, performance tuning, systems monitoring, and disaster recovery.
  • Interfacing with vendor support, internal application support & DBA teams to resolve system issues.

Requirements

  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong English language analytical, verbal, written, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Previous experience in Linux/Unix/Cloud hands-on system administration with back-end large server experience and/or cloud experience.
  • Strong enterprise storage background with experience in SAN/NAS/iSCSI and knowledge of multi-volume and file management systems such as VxVM, SDS, HP LVM, AIX LVM, VxFS, UFS, JFS, and NFS.
  • Must have automation skills using Ansible, Terraform, or Shell scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Hands-on experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP and SAN networking, including routing, zoning, persistent binding, SMTP, DNS, and LDAP.
  • Backup and recovery experience using Veeam, Veritas Netbackup, or similar in a SAN environment.
  • Working knowledge of hypervisors such as VMWare, Containers, HyperV, IBM DLPAR, Sun LDOM/Containers, Linux KVM, SAN management, and backup experience is a plus.
  • Cloud management and orchestration tools, OpenShift/Mesos/Kubernetes, Baan tools, and Oracle DBA knowledge are also a plus.
  • Large-scale multi-team project management experience is also a plus.
