About the Role:

At American Express Global Business Travel, we're passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. As a Sourcing Specialist, you'll be part of a dynamic team that brings together passion, expertise, and creativity to deliver exceptional results.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients to understand their vision and needs, providing an elevated level of customer service.
  • Expertly research and recommend top venues and properties that meet client expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure the best deals for clients, while ensuring seamless execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the contracting process, ensuring timely completion and satisfaction.
  • Orchestrate logistics with precision, managing every detail with finesse.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS, SUPPLIERS, AND TEAMMATES, CREATING A NETWORK OF VALUABLE CONNECTIONS.
  • Develop and manage budgets, tracking expenses and communicating changes to clients in a timely manner.
  • Post-event reconciliation and evaluation is your final mission on each program.

What We're Looking For:

  • Venue sourcing & meeting planning experience over the last 3-5 years.
  • Incredible communication skills to articulate vision, inspire, and motivate.
  • Highly motivated at meeting timeline expectations.
  • Self-starter, love to laugh, and handle the journey.
  • Problem-solving mind that can handle any unexpected twist.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess organizational superpowers.
  • Travel is your passion, and you are excited to head to destinations worldwide (up to 100%).
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Vase experience with Cvent and are not afraid of technology.
  • Passion for providing unparalleled levels of hospitality and consultative service.
  • Passion for creating presentations.
  • CMP preferred, but not expected.
