About the Role

ZF Group is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll processes, including calculations, reporting, and tax submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run payroll calculations for weekly, biweekly, and monthly processes
  • Enter and manage timesheet data
  • Process special payroll events, such as Christmas bonuses and profit sharing
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports to employees
  • Review earnings, deductions, and benefits calculations
  • Provide support and guidance to employees and management on payroll-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with Mexican Federal and State laws regarding payroll
  • Verify accuracy of time and attendance data and other payroll interfaces
  • Meet reporting deadlines and adhere to ZF Group's accounting policies and practices
  • Submit information to tax agencies through their portals
  • Calculate and prepare payroll taxes, including SUA, State, and Federal taxes
  • Experience with the SUA program and employee annual tax return calculations
  • Effective communication and interaction with various levels of operating unit and headquarters personnel
  • Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date and documented

Requirements

  • Accounting, Administration, or Finance degree
  • 3-4 years of payroll process experience
  • Experience with USA and Canada payroll processes a plus
  • 70-90% bilingual English/Spanish
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding customer service and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, SAP, and QAD systems preferred
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office
  • Strong experience in internal controls
  • High legal and ethical standards
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities
