The Engie Group is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Level 1 Network Specialist to join our team in Mexico. As a key member of our Network and Cybersecurity Services division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and security of our network and security infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Improve the quality of information required in incident tickets by ensuring that all necessary information is included, checking the priority level, and verifying the impacted service or customer.
- Link multiple incidents together when a common root cause is identified.
- Perform the first technical analysis of devices' status and ensure that every critical alarm is linked to an active incident ticket.
- Create new incident tickets when necessary and escalate to Level 2 or Level 3 of the NOC when required.
- Manage maintenance status in our monitoring tool during changes' implementation and work with the network tooling team to improve monitoring quality.
- Implement basic and simple changes based on a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and ensure day-to-day communication between the NOC team and local IT teams of Engie entities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Basic knowledge of networks' fundamentals, including IP addressing, routing, and network devices.
- Experience with monitoring tools, such as Spectrum, Cacti, and Syslog.
- Familiarity with Cisco LAN, Wifi, and Fortinet operations, as well as DNS and DHCP basics.
- ITIL standards and soft skills, including reactivity, teamwork, and communication.
