We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to meet business objectives and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Implement and administer cloud network components, including VLAN, WLAN, and WAN.
- Establish data and voice networks to support IT service delivery, ensuring resilience, security, and capacity.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network problems and outages, and ensure recovery procedures are in place.
- Configure and troubleshoot cloud and security infrastructure devices.
- Redesign and improve existing cloud infrastructure, working with service providers.
- Implement processes and procedures for network support and monitoring.
- Implement and administer cloud security systems, including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Manage access rights and permissions, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulations.
- Act as an escalation point for network issues, ensuring quick incident resolution and network availability.
- Collaborate with the SRE/DevOps team to build and transition services from project to operations.
- Produce comprehensive network diagrams and documentation.
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, especially AWS and GCP cloud solutions.
- Experience in building, interconnecting, and supporting networks into AWS Regions and Availability Zones.
- CCNP certification, particularly in routing and switching, wireless, and security.
- Proficient in network configuration and administration.
- Experience troubleshooting a range of LAN/WAN technologies.
- Cisco switch, router, and ASA firewall experience.
- Proficient with network protocols and monitoring tools.
- Working knowledge of security devices, tools, and service providers.
- Experience in 3rd line support of network technologies.
- Experience defining and implementing network solutions for internal and external customers.
