Director of Technical Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technical Services to join our project delivery business line in Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical stage-gate reviews, monitoring industry trends, and developing new client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in technical stage-gate reviews to ensure key areas such as process design, general layouts, bulk quantities, capital/operating costs, financial model, and final NI 43-101 reporting are met.
- Monitor industry trends and track relevant business environment changes with the help of the Business Development group for Mexico.
- Lead the effort in developing new client relationships relevant to the group, working with Business Development to identify, evaluate, and respond to opportunities.
- Develop project scope based on understanding of key clients' businesses and operational needs, in conjunction with the Study Manager.
- Contribute to the successful planning and execution of Ausenco studies/projects across the region relative to the client's business needs.
- Define and communicate task and performance expectations for direct reports, monitor performance against requirements, and take action where appropriate.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mining Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of experience developing studies, predominantly within the mining industry. You should be willing to travel up to 50% of the time to meet clients as required.
Requirements:
- Fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and contribute effectively as part of cross-functional project teams.
