We're redefining game development at Fortis Games, and we're seeking a visionary Principal Game Designer to drive our product vision.

About the role:

  • You will oversee the development of a new game concept from inception to launch, ensuring it meets our high standards of innovation and engagement.
  • As a leader, you'll be responsible for building, mentoring, and growing a talented team of Product Managers and Game Designers.
  • Your expertise will shape the direction of our product strategy and portfolio of games, aligning with our mission to create immersive experiences that bring people together.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunity spaces and collaborate with product leadership to craft a compelling game concept.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision, guiding the team's major decisions and architecting systems that meet prototyping goals.
  • Become an expert in emerging trends and game mechanics, sharing knowledge with the broader product team to advance our collective understanding.
  • Prioritize complex design decisions, making informed choices that balance creative vision with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • A holistic view of game systems and their downstream effects.
  • Fundamental design principles, metagame systems, game economies, and player psychology.
  • Ability to communicate creative vision, inspiring and motivating teams.
