The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Markets Manager to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of our funding strategy. This role will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across risk, financial products, product, engineering, sales, and operations to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and contribute to the development of PayJoy's funding strategy, focusing on the existing loan book in Latam and expansion into new markets in Africa and Asia.
  • Manage the ecosystem of PayJoy's lenders, including institutional and private investors, and assist with day-to-day operations and management of existing facilities.
  • Assist with/lead structuring new and managing existing capital market relationships, operations, reporting, and compliance requirements for existing facilities, evaluating changing business needs and amending facilities as necessary.
  • Manage aspects of PJAF operations, fund admin relationship, audit process, investor reporting, and relations with minimal supervision, understanding PJAF structure and being comfortable making outbound marketing calls.
  • Collaborate internally with finance, risk, and go-to-market teams on funding projections and cost of capital forecasts.
  • Build analytical models to evaluate product, country, and capital structure decisions, including cost of capital, advance rates, and liquidity planning for review with senior leadership.
  • Prepare marketing materials and other presentations/reports as required to run the business, including for equity raises, and support investor relations - equity and debt investor engagement, manage data rooms, and periodic updates with risk teams.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of capital markets/finance experience, especially structured finance; investment banking strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending products and fintech landscape.
  • Team player who is able to collaborate across groups internally, work on a variety of projects simultaneously, and across multiple geographies.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills, understanding of financial statements, and ability to build models from scratch.
  • Excellent research skills, oral and written communication, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, SQL skills a plus.
  • Spanish is a plus.
